Epiroc acquires Chilean smart mining solution provider

A few days ago, the mining and infrastructure industry's leading productivity and sustainability partner, Abato, acquired Chile's Mining Tag S.A., which provides sensor-based solutions that enhance mine safety and productivity by making operations smarter.

Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, Mining Tag develops and implements sensor-based solutions to achieve monitoring, automation and process improvement of mining operations. This solution is mainly used for underground mining. The company's proven solutions include MT OneMine to increase productivity and MT Guardian to increase safety. Mining Tag is active in several countries in Latin America. The company has approximately 120 employees and revenue in 2020 is approximately 7 million euros.
